ANIMAZEMENT WAS A BLAST! One of my best friends rocked this outstanding Amon cosplay, which was made in about 10 days. And, just like shake n’ bake, I HELPED!
The photos were inspired by this post, I saw it just as he’d started working on the cosplay and KNEW we had to bring it to life!! I also photoshopped a little special something into the first picture because why not watch some sports at a bar AM I RIGHT!?

I have very little words for this - I am SO STUNNED! It’s PHENOMENAL! I’ve never seen a more accurate Rauru cosplay EVER!! And, according to oupsomne this was his first costume!!

Samara Just Got Real
Remember those amazing Mass Effect hoodies designed by a fan that spread all over the Internet a couple months ago? Well, Bioware has confirmed that they will be moving forward with these hoodie designs with some modifications. I’ll keep you posted when more details are available but it’s truly amazing to see a fan idea become reality.

YES! OH GOD YES!
I JUST got back from Animazement yesterday and wanted to share these photos! I jumped into my Impa cosplay on Friday and shyly followed my friends and their avatar group around for most of the day. But I did take the time to get a few really neat shots of the cosplay! (I wish I’d run into another Skyward Sword cosplayer that day though!!)
The body suit was created by JDS Cosplay (his photobucket is here where you can see my awesome non-cannon sailor moon pose!) The belt was kind of a joint effort. I modified what he sent and added that huge ring which is actually just a $6 towel rack from TJ Maxx. I had one of my tough male friends pry the ring off for me and sewed it into the belt so the open side was hidden.
The shoes were modified by me in a few hours with fabric JDS Cosplay provided. Luckily he’d made me TWO belts - one was smaller with the biggest metal ring he could find and one was big without a ring, so I had a backup just in case I couldn’t find a big ring. (Thoughtful!) So I was able to break down the small belt and use it for trim on the shoes and wig. I WISH I’d had more time on the wig, Impa’s hair cuts in really high on her head so it’s a tricky thing to pull off and considering I finished the wig the night before the con, that wasn’t going to get accomplished. I DID spirit gum it to my forehead in some places haha.
Anyway! JDS Cosplay was awesome, that thing was so comfortable! Minus the arm tape which was my fault - I should have made fabric arm wraps but nuuuuuuu. At the end of the day I stuck my arms out and had two of my friends rip it off me. I don’t usually commission, since I have some small sewing abilities but this was worth it! And it gave me plenty of time to finish the cosplay I’m going to share tomorrow. ^_^
PS. without that wig extension I totally look like Joffrey from Game of Thrones! *shudder*
I attended The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess this past weekend, and I’ve got to say it was AMAZING. Went there! Did That! Got the T-shirt! And the poster!
When I first heard about the symphony back in December I knew I had to see it, through hell or high water, there was no way I was going to miss it. When I found out they’d be selling tickets for Atlanta (4 hours from Charlotte) I camped out on the site and nabbed front row seats. In retrospect front row of the first tier would have also been spiffy considering the stage setup with the big screen, but hearing the lead violinist playing a few feet in front of me was pretty much worth it.
I apologize for the quality of the photographs - once we got in the theater, even before the show started I turned off all the lights on my camera so it kind of had to do the best with what it had. I ninja-shot a few pics (without really lifting the camera up because WOW too amazing to look away) because I really wanted to show how fricking beautiful it was! And to encourage those unsure if they should attend to GO!
If you have the opportunity to get tickets to this symphony - DO IT. It was so worth it!! Most of what they played was medleys - every last one was absolutely beautiful. The video that played along with the music was PERFECT. At the end of the show they hadn’t played the one song I’d wanted to hear, the ONLY reason I attended (ok maybe not the only reason) was to hear Gerudo Valley. The Orchestra received a standing ovation and They played it as one of their Encores!! I was so happy I actually cried!

I actually can’t decide which is more magnificent - the hooded scarf or the dude wearing it. Because, I’ve got to say, he looks STOKED to be modeling. One thing I can say is: for sure - I will own this. Not right now, but after con season, when things cool off, it will be mine.
This scarf goes for $30 at GamersCloset but I actually find that to be a really FAIR price considering they actually took the time to sew some really nifty details into both the front and the back! And if black isn’t your color you can pick up a white version here.

Sorry for the under boob, side boob, and all around boob. Well, actually I’m not that sorry, because it is HAWT! I caught one of these photos a while back on Tumblr but there were no credits attached so I let it slide and kept the memory for a rainy day! Well, I spotted it on DeviantArt today and I’m happy to feature this lovely lady and her Stormtrooper!
I have to admit - if I had a boyfriend I’d want him to dress up as a Stormtrooper or Sith Lord and take sexy pics with me. In fact, one of my friends is cosplaying a Sith Lord at a con this year and I have a feeling I’m going to take the rare occasion to get trashed - so those pics may be in my future after all! Haha. (No seriously, someone should probably spot me that day…) But I digress!
So if the sexyness and Star Wars isn’t enough for you, take a look at lizzisaurus’ Tats! She’s got an abundance of beautifully articulated geeky tattoos all over! You can see more of them (and her!) in her gallery. It’s sad but, I’m so busy ogling her beautiful tattoos I barely even notice she’s naked!

I hate that I don’t have a straight answer for the first person to ask me a legit question. BUT I have found some options for you - they’re not the best in the world but hopefully one of these will work!
I’m a huge fan of supporting artists/original creators when possible. AndrewScrolls has created a beautifully articulated Ancient Map of Tamriel on deviantart. Sending him a message asking for a print might be a good idea.
I heard that some game shops might have them, but I’m doubting this because I cannot find them on google, bing, or ebay. What’s really frustrating is I spotted a Tamriel map on Tumblr hanging on someone’s wall and I have no idea where they got it.
Anyway here is another option if you are a skyrim fan and it is TOTALLY FREE - it is a PRINTABLE map from GameBanshee.com, it takes a little bit of crafting but at 3x3 feet it’s pretty darn huge. Downside is it’s just Skyrim specific.
The last option (again Skyrim specific) is picking up the official skyrim map (about $10 on ebay) and make it awesome. Fake blood makes everything better you know!
I’m sorry I don’t have better news, but I Googled, Binged, Etsyd, Redbubbled, Deviantarted, and more using dozens of combinations and couldn’t find a legitimate poster sized print ready to buy.
